My Journey with the Sulaco: From Screen to 3D Model
The USS Sulaco, a vessel central to the film Aliens, has always captivated me with its imposing and brutalist design. The ship's stark, gray structure projects a sense of formidable power, a perfect complement to the tense and atmospheric tone.

My 3D model was a true labor of love, driven by passion and a desire to overcome new challenges. I tackled the complexities of 3D printing, including the intricate process of assembling multiple blocks due to printer size limitations—a journey not without its humorous moments, as I managed to glue my fingers together multiple times.
This construction pushed my skills, resulting in a faithful replica.

The transition from the completed model to the final clip was equally impressive. The finished and painted model was used to create the realistic flyby, achieving an identical visual identity to the film. That moment of realization, comparing the finished product to the picture, and being unable to tell the difference, was truly rewarding.

The creation of multiple ending clips, including the captivating flyby with the illuminated cargo door, highlighted the model's true versatility. This project is a testament to my passion, the skills I developed, and the impressive final product.
